2008 Hurricane Preparedness Plan

Dear Customer:
Across Sweetlake Chemical Ltd., including our subsidiary Sweetlake Chemical de Mexico, we have incorporated key experiences from past hurricane seasons into several improvement efforts that promise to deliver dependable internal and external communications; effective warehouse shutdown, recovery and start-up processes; reliable materials and services supply; and efficient coordination of customer service and logistics activities. These preparations focus on safety of our employees and our community, as well as meeting our customers' needs, as we work to minimize the impact of potential hurricanes. Below are our action plans that are currently being implemented.

Communication:
Maintaining communication with employees, customers, and suppliers is extremely critical. We are continuously working to ensure our communications and order management systems operate effectively and deliver maximum value to employees and customers. For example, we have taken steps to guarantee that our toll-free Customer Service Number (1-888-SLC-1998) will be available 24 hours a day, in the event a hurricane impacts our normal operations.

Additionally, the Sweetlake Chemical website will provide hurricane updates for customers in the event our operations or logistics networks are affected by the weather.

Customer Service and Logistics
We plan to position a customer service representative in a safe location with the required connectivity to manage important customer service and logistics activities in the event our customer service center in Houston appears likely to be impacted by a major hurricane. Another part of the plan involves working with our freight carriers to ensure that they have Hurricane Preparedness Plans in place, so our deliveries are not affected in the event of a Hurricane.

We are committed to providing a Hurricane Response Plan that maximizes the safety of our employees and minimizes the disruption of services and supply to our customers.
